White Plains train station side platform to close for replacement until late fall

The side platform at the White Plains train station will be closed off to commuters starting Monday.

Crews will be replacing the platform. The main island platform can be used when exiting the train.

The closure is part of the MTA's $135 million Metro-North Station Improvement Initiative.

A new side platform with heated flooring and a canopy is expected to open later this fall.
