A Monticello man is accused of stabbing two taxi drivers in the face with a screwdriver.

Police say Gimel Kimble, 34, stabbed the pair in the area of Broadway and Jefferson Street Tuesday morning. The drivers are employed by a local taxi company and were changing shifts at the time of the attack.

A short time later, they say Kimble also broke a window at a home on Park Avenue and took off.

Officers say they found a crack pipe and hypodermic syringes on him when he was arrested.

The two taxi drivers are expected to be OK.

Kimble is facing numerous charges, including felony charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
