Latimer: Westchester working to keep community members safe during wintry conditions

Posted: Updated:

Westchester County Executive George Latimer assured community members that the county had all the roads and public transportation under control as wintry weather hit the region.

A snowstorm surprised the entire region last November, but this time many people said they were prepared. Latimer said the county will continue to work to keep residents safe.

“It’s going to be a long winter, and we're prepared for today. But we have to be prepared for it over the next months. We expect this is going to come back, with greater force in other days,” said Latimer.

Travelers heading to the airport should check with their carriers for more updates.
