Yonkers doctor sentenced for not following medical guidelines in oxycodone prescriptionsPosted: Updated:
A Yonkers doctor has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for not following proper medical guidelines in 2014 when he wrote a dozen prescriptions for oxycodone.
Dr. Nadem Sayegh was sentenced in Manhattan Federal Court Tuesday, according to court documents.
The 65-year-old was also sentenced to two years' probation and fined $100,000. He must pay $11,000 in restitution.
Sayegh must report to prison at the end of January.
He was one of 10 people charged in a federal indictment last year.
Sayegh is the brother of Assemblyman Nader Sayegh.
