A police chase that started at an Ulster County Walmart ended in New Jersey.

State police say two men stole from the Walmart in Cairo and took off in a U-Haul.

As police pulled the van over on the Thruway, on suspect exited. Authorities say the driver sped off as that suspect was being handcuffed, leading the chase into Paramus, New Jersey.

Police say the driver, Mark Simpson, hit five police cars and ditched the U-Haul, which by that point was being driven on its two front rims.

Police were able to arrest Simpson, who now faces a slew of charges.
