Hundreds of people turned out Sunday to celebrate Veterans Day one day early with an annual parade.
The Bronx Veterans Day Parade marched through Throgs Neck Sunday, with more than 2,000 people in the processional and hundreds lining the streets.
Former members of all branches of the service from the Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard came together to honor each other's service.
They say they salute all former and active members of the military and that this non-partisan, non-political event is meant to bring together those who served to pay tribute to each other.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day.
