Woman, family move into new apartment after dealing with mold for a year

A woman and her family are now moving into a new apartment after dealing with mold issues for a year.
Cheyenne Farris and her three kids are gearing up for the move. This comes after News 12 aired a story Tuesday about the living conditions at her NYCHA apartment.
Farris said she was concerned for their health, and that seeing the story on TV hit her. "It was a little embarrassing because I was shy, but I am really happy it was there so people could know what I was struggling with," said Farris.
After the story aired, she says NYCHA contacted her saying it had a new apartment for her. The new place is three floors down from her old place.
Farris says she made sure to inspect the new apartment. While she begins the moving process, she says many of her belongings are still moldy.
She says she's working with NYCHA to be reimbursed for at least some of what has to be thrown out. She says it has been a tough situation to deal with, especially for her kids, including her older son who is in school.
Now, she is happy she has a new place to call home.
