‘Transformers’ project at Columbus Elementary blows students’ minds

Posted: Updated:

A group of fifth grade Columbus Elementary School teachers in Mount Pleasant put their creativity lessons to the test this Halloween.

The teachers blew their students' minds by dressing up as Transformers – and “transforming” in front of their very eyes.

Video of their detailed costumes – which took weeks of cutting, painting and gluing – has been shared online thousands of times.

Teachers say the project highlighted the importance of STEAM (science, technology engineering arts and math) learning in the classroom.

Plans are already in the works for next year’s Halloween project, but for now, it’s top secret.
