County Executive Marc Molinaro declares victory in Dutchess County racePosted: Updated:
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro has declared victory in his quest for a third term
Molinaro was up against Democrat Joe Ruggiero, who was running for the county's top job a second time. He was defeated in 2007. The 49-year-old Wappingers Falls man was previously the executive director of the New York State Bridge Authority and the Town of Wappinger supervisor.
Molinaro and Ruggiero had agreed that there are many issues in the county, from the environment, to the economy and the opioid epidemic, but their plans on tackling these problems were very different.
