Peekskill Mayor Rainey declares victory in quest for another term

Peekskill Mayor Andre Rainey has declared victory against Republican challenger Vincent Vesce.

Rainey touted securing a $10 million state grant to revitalize the downtown area as one of his biggest accomplishments in office to date. He also said he's brought transparency back to the city.

Vesce, a former Peekskill councilman, was hoping to gain office to focus on keeping taxes low and adding services for residents.
