New Rochelle mayor declares victory in bid for 4th termPosted: Updated:
New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson has declared victory in his bid for a fourth term.
Bramson was up against Republican newcomer Brendan Conroy, who is a real estate broker and former assistant assessor for the city of Rye. Conroy is also the grandson of former Gov. Malcolm Wilson.
Bramson, who became mayor in 2006, said it's not about how long you have been in office but rather what you've done during your term. He said the city has made extraordinary strides under his administration, and he's proud of the direction the city is moving in.
