Walsh had three party endorsements -- Democrat, Republican and Conservative. Walsh named the opioid epidemic as his No. 1 priority.

Walsh was up against Independent Michael Diederich and state Assemblyman Ken Zebrowkski.

Diederich cited the fact that Walsh has never prosecuted a case as a problem. The civil rights attorney had identified his top priority as fighting corruption and land issues in Ramapo.

Zebrowkski's name was on the ballot for DA, but he told News 12 he stopped campaigning for the seat after he lost the Democratic primary in June.
