Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino is being challenged by a fellow Republican in his bid for reelection.
Registered Republican Jim Altadonna is running on the Democratic line in hopes of defeating Saladino.
Altadonna was the mayor of Massapequa Park for 12 years and is currently the town clerk for Oyster Bay.
He says he wants to focus on finances, roads and term limits.
"I leave it up to the voters," Altadonna says. "There's a stark difference between Joe and myself--we have two different management styles. I don't take credit for anything. I always say we."
Saladino says people have complimented his job on finances, parks and road pavements.
He says he deserves another term for the job he has done so far in the town.
"When I came to the town of Oyster Bay, it was ripe with problems and corruption," Saladino says. "And that all took place while my opponent was there and he stood silent."
