Port Chester man accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 13

A Port Chester man was arraigned Tuesday on charges he sexually abusing a child under the age of 13.

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. says Fermin Jaimes, 46, committed the act several times over the course of at least six months in 2016. Investigators say the child told a friend and then her mother about the abuse.

Jaimes has been charged with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony.

He's being held on $20,000 cash bail and is due back in court on Monday.
