Fall fun draws crowds to Harvest Festival at Narrows Botanical Gardens

Dozens of people were out Sunday enjoying the annual Harvest Festival at the Narrows Botanical Gardens in Bay Ridge.
The event brings the community together for a day of fun activities.
Attendees enjoyed pumpkin painting, a variety of local vendors, and of course, the big event -- the canine costume contest. Dogs were getting an early start to Halloween, dressing up as different characters in hopes of winning a number of prizes.
Organizers say the event takes many hours to put together. They say they hope the event will continue to get bigger and better each year.
