Posted: Updated:

Police are stepping up patrols at schools in Harrison after a threat against the high school.

A message sent to parents from district Thursday night says in part “there was an Internet posting this evening by a Harrison student voicing concerns about a threatened school shooting at Harrison High School.”

The Harrison Police Department investigated the claims, but found the threat to be not credible.

Schools are open, but there is an increased police presence at the high school and other school campuses.
