According to officials, George Grogan's son called police Friday night, to tell them his father had harmed his mother, Audrey Grogan.

When police arrived to the family home on Shamrock Circle in Poughkeepsie, the couple was nowhere to be found.

As a multi-agency search was underway, a Bear Mountain State Park employee found the couple's 1990 Dodge Caravan in the area of Anthony’s Nose trailhead on Saturday evening.

Audrey Grogan's lifeless body was discovered in the back of the van. There is no word yet on the cause of her death, all investigators are saying at this point is that she appears to have died under suspicious conditions.

George Grogan is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with gray balding hair, weighing approximately 150-160 pounds. Police are asking anyone hiking in the park be on the lookout. Anyone with information is asked to call authorities immediately at (914) 769-2600. "At this time since Mrs. Grogan did appear to be deceased under suspicious circumstances, I would always tell the public to be safe. If they do see George Grogan here in the hiking area or anywhere to please call state police," says New York State Police Capt. David Atkins.
