Pulp diction: Amazon's Alexa to feature Samuel L. Jackson’s voice

Posted: Updated:

Amazon has announced that Samuel L. Jackson will be the first celebrity voice for its Alexa virtual assistant.

The Jackson feature will allow users of Alexa-enabled devices to interact with an AI version of the actor developed using the company’s neural text-to-speech technology.

There will be an explicit version, cursing and all, and a clean version when the feature launches later this year.

Samuel L. Jackson's voice will be available as a "skill" for 99 cents.

More celebrity voices are expected to be added in 2020.
