Police offer $5,000 reward for info leading to arrest in fatal Newburgh shooting

Police are offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for a weekend shooting in Newburgh.

As News 12 has reported, officers say 35-year-old Aned Alvarado Baquedano was fatally shot in the neck Saturday night near Liberty and Clinton streets.

An 18-year-old was also shot twice but is expected to be OK.

Officials say Alvarado Baquedano was celebrating a family member’s birthday down the street from where the shooting happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call the city of Newburgh police.
