Driver injured after tree crushes HELP truck on Hutch

Posted: Updated:

The driver of a HELP truck was seriously injured after a tree came crashing down on to the truck.

Police say it happened Monday afternoon on the Hutchinson River Parkway, just south of Mamaroneck Road in Scarsdale.

Officials say a storm blew through the area, knocking down the tree and a utility pole, and trapping the man inside the truck.

First responders had to cut the man from the vehicle and he was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. There is no word yet on his current condition.
