Series of weekend concerts in Bethel celebrates 50th anniversary of Woodstock

A cast of all-star performers will celebrate Woodstock’s 50 anniversary this weekend.
In 1969, a concert took place in the small town of Bethel, New York. That concert turned out to be a cultural event that defined an entire generation.
Fifty years later, music lovers and performers will come together again for a series of concerts hosted by the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Friday night performers include Ringo Starr, Edgar Winter and Blood Sweat and Tears. The Saturday concert includes Santana and the Doobie Brothers.
These musicians will perform on the same fields that once held the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin.
