A Yorktown man is accused of a violently carjacking his neighbor.

Police say Shaun Noone, 33, pushed a woman to the ground and stole her car Tuesday afternoon on Cornwall Circle.

He was later spotted driving the car in Mahopac, and according to police, tried to flee when officers attempted to pull him over. He was eventually taken into custody. Authorities say Noone had drugs in his possession.

Investigators say Noone is also responsible for a burglary in the same area.

He was arraigned in Yorktown Town Court on numerous charges including grand larceny. He is due back in court on Thursday.
