Woman’s car struck in police chase on Saw Mill River Parkway

A woman’s car was struck during a high speed chase on I-684 on Thursday night.
State police say they caught up with a 19-year-old man who sped off on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Bedford - in a car that was reported stolen. He had a female passenger with him.
The suspect eventually lost control, and according to the woman - hit her jeep before crashing into a guard rail.
The impact of the crash didn't cause any physical damage to her car, but it had to be towed due to mechanical issues.
The woman is now driving a rental because her car is in the shop.
She says she’s  paying for almost all the expenses out of pocket.
The suspect remains in the hospital after being injured in the crash
The frustrated woman says she feels like a victim in a police chase she had nothing to do with.
"There is nothing I can do,” the woman, who chose to keep her identity confidential, says. “I have no financial recourse to go after this person. I'm the victim in this case.”
No information has been released yet about the female passenger who was with the suspect.
