An NYPD officer from Port Chester is facing child pornography charges.

John Telesca, 38, was arrested at his Port Chester home Thursday by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office High Technology Crime Squad.

Prosecutors say Telesca was found to have uploaded at least 60 images of nude children on his electronic devices and shared them through email.

The victims ranged in age from 8 to 13 years old.

He is charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.

Telesca is a patrol officer with the NYPD in the Bronx. News 12 has been told he has never worked for the Port Chester Police Department. He has now been suspended without pay.

Telesca was released from jail after posting $5,000 bail. He is due back in Port Chester Village court on Sept. 12.
