Power restored for many Con Edison customers

CROTON-ON-HUDSON -

Power has been restored for many Con Edison customers this morning.

News 12 was told 1,500 customers were left without power this morning. Con Ed says about more half of those earlier outages have been restored.

News 12 is told that there was an issue with Con Ed's feeder.

Most of the affected customers were in the Croton-on-Hudson area.

The outage comes on the heels of a recent blackout that left thousands of New York City residents without power.

State lawmakers want to question Con Edison officials. The hearing would focus on Con Ed's preparedness and response, as well as what it will do to prevent future outages.
