YONKERS -

Westchester County Executive George Latimer extended the hours at swimming areas Saturday and Sunday -- a big comfort for many people as they use the water to help cool them down.

News 12 was at the pool at Tibbetts Brook Park, which was packed with people.

They told News 12 that they were happy to have somewhere close by where they can get some relief from the extreme heat.

Temperatures are not expected to cool off until Sunday night.
