MTA mulls over plan to cut thousands of jobs

The MTA may consider cutting thousands of jobs, including some at the Long Island Railroad.
An outside consulting firm is working on a plan to save between $370 million and $530 million a year.
The plan calls for the elimination of almost 2,000 jobs.

The MTA board will vote on the plan next Wednesday.
