Report: Investigation finds hundreds of thousands of dollars of fraud in MTAPosted: Updated:
An MTA Inspector General report is highlighting fraud across the transit agency.
The annual report found overtime abuse totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars for hours that were never worked.
In one case, officials say a Metro-North railroad worker abused his time by running errands, sleeping on the job, and leaving his work truck idling for hours.
He was suspended for 61 days and agreed to pay $300 in restitution.
