Firefighters rushed to the scene when a car went down an embankment overhanging on the Thruway in Tarrytown Wednesday.

Crews from Engine 77 were successfully able to extricate a victim from the vehicle.

Officials say several departments assisted in the haul up the embankment for the victim to be treated.

Tarrytown officials did not comment on the condition of the driver.
