SOMERS -

Somers was one of many communities across the Hudson Valley to kick off some early Fourth of July celebrations this weekend.

A block party took place at the Sebastian Capital Urban Campus on Route 35 and 100.

The town's fire department led a parade of honored veterans to the stage at the celebration.

Families enjoyed gorgeous fireworks along with live music, dancing and rides.
