Person fatally struck by Metro-North train near Scarsdale

SCARSDALE -

A person was fatally struck by a Metro-North train near the Scarsdale train station Wednesday morning.

An MTA spokeswoman says it happened around 9:20 a.m.

The train left out of Southeast and was heading to Grand Central Terminal.

Service was temporarily suspended in both directions between White Plains and Crestwood. Regular service has resumed.
