Memorial Day weekend travel is expected to be the busiest it's been since 2005, with almost 43 million Americans traveling for the long weekend this year.
More than 37 million of those traveling will be road-tripping -- and taking advantage of gas prices that average 13 cents cheaper than last year's, according to AAA.
For those using public transportation, the Long Island Rail Road is running 10 extra eastbound early-afternoon trains from Penn Station.
