A jury has found suspected MS-13 gang member Jose Suarez guilty in connection with a 2017 Central Islip deli murder.

Prosecutors say Suarez was the getaway driver after Esteban Alvarado-Bonilla was gunned down inside El Campesino Deli. Prosecutors say the gang targeted the victim, thinking he was a rival gang member.

Suarez was convicted on all counts during his retrial, including murder, racketeering and assault charges.

Suarez faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

The gunman in the case has pleaded guilty.
