The internet sensation Grumpy Cat has died.

The cat's real name was Tardar Sauce, but she gained internet fame and was even the star of a movie – thanks to her permanent scowl.

Grumpy Cat's owners posted on Instagram that she died due to complications from a urinary tract infection.

The cat was 7 years old.

Her owner says that her grumpy-looking face is due to feline dwarfism and the placement of her teeth in her mouth.
