PEEKSKILL -

A Bronxville police chief stopped an alleged robbery in Yonkers.

Christopher Satriale was at a traffic light when he says he noticed three juveniles rob an elderly man at Central Park Avenue and Palmer Road.

After confirming with the man what happened, Satriale followed the boys for several blocks until his officers arrived to help.

The elderly man was not injured, and his wallet was recovered.

The three juveniles were arrested and are facing charges.

Satriale says his job doesn't stop when his workday ends or if he's outside his jurisdiction.

"I'm here to do the job and whether or not it's in Yonkers or Bronxville. If a crime occurs, somebody should do something to stop that crime. We're in the age of see something, say something. We're stressing to civilians that if you see something, say something. How would it look if I saw something and didn't do anything? It's my role... it's my responsibility,” he says.
