The NYPD rescued a sheep found tied to a tree near Coney Island Creek Park.

Police responded to the scene around 9:45 p.m. Thursday and untied the animal.

The Emergency Service Unit transported the sheep to New York Animal Care Center in Manhattan.

The center tweeted a photo saying it took him in and made him comfortable throughout the night.
