$5K anonymously donated to Bridgeport food bank

A $5,000 anonymous donation was made to a Bridgeport food pantry.
Pastor David O. Miller of New Hope Missionary Baptist church on Park Avenue says he is deeply grateful for the donation.
Miller says the money will be used to help the church's struggling food ministry Kitchen of Hope.
He says the church will be purchasing a new stove so they can continue to feed thousands of people every single year. The new stove will be installed next month.
Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim presented the gift on behalf of the donor, saying the work Rev. Miller does uplifts not only the parishioners and the programs he runs, but also Bridgeport at large.
Miller was almost killed in a car accident early in his career. It was a life-changing experience that left his jaw wired shut. The experience gave Miller a special appreciation for the needs of men and women who come to rely upon a ministry like this one.
"I realized what it meant to be really physically hungry," says Miller.
