MOUNT VERNON -

A Mount Vernon man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a cab driver last month.

Police say William Caccia took a cab from Yonkers to Nyack, but when it came time to pay up, he told the driver he had to get money from his mother who was at Nyack Hospital.

Detectives say he left to supposedly get money, and when he came back, he grabbed the driver and stole his cash and an iPhone.

The 39-year-old is now facing several charges including robbery and harassment.
