WALLKILL -

A Bronx man is headed to prison for driving under the influence of drugs and causing a deadly crash in Orange County.

Robinson Perez will spend up to 15 years behind bars.

The 31-year-old admitted he was high on marijuana when he crossed into oncoming traffic on Route 17M in the Town of Wallkill back in 2017. Dustin Mills, 30, of Middletown, was killed in the crash.

According to prosecutors, troopers unsuccessfully tried to pull Perez over for driving more than 100 mph just before the deadly crash.
