Police: 2nd victim in deadly Sheepshead Bay hammer attack dies

A second person has died following the violent hammer attack at a Sheepshead Bay restaurant.
Police say the 60-year-old previously listed in critical condition succumbed to his injuries following the attack.
Authorities arrested 34-year-old Arthur Martunovich, and charged him with murder, two counts of attempted murder and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident happened at 5 p.m. inside Seaport Buffet on Emmons Avenue. Police say Martunovich stormed into the restaurant holding a hammer and began attacking people inside, killing 34-year-old chef Fufai Pun.
Police tell News 12 that Martunovich tried to run after the attack, but didn't get very far before authorities were able to grab him.
Martunovich was carried out of the 60th Precinct by NYPD Emergency Services. Police say he was being combative inside the precinct and was unable to be walked out. He underwent a psychiatric evaluation after the attack.
Police say it appears the attack was unprovoked.
