Windsor Terrace Library closing for renovations in February

The Windsor Terrace Library is set to close its doors next month for renovations.
Employees call the upgrades long overdue, but it will leave the community without its library come Feb. 1. It will remain closed for approximately a year and a half.
"It's for the good of the building in the long term, even if it's a little discomfort in the short term," says Brooklyn Public Library Director of Neighborhood Services Sheila Schofer.
Schofer says construction will enhance everything from air-conditioning and electrical outlets to fresh paint and new shelves.
While the library is closed, a book-mobile will be parked there twice a week. There are also three other public libraries within 2 miles in Kensington, Flatbush and Cortelyou.
