TARRYTOWN -

Many people are marking the demolition of the old Tappan Zee Bridge with watch parties on both sides of the bridge.

Towns and venues all over Westchester are buzzing with news of the demolition, which is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The Lyndhurst Mansion will be holding a watching party.

Maura Bekelja, at the Lyndhurst Mansion, says they had originally planned to be closed for the season to do winter preservation projects, but people started calling and asking for a front-row seat.

The tickets are $20 per car. There were about 50 spots left as of Monday at 5 p.m.

Lyndhurst says the money raised will help the nonprofit museum.
