Police arrest man accused of robbing video game store at gunpointPosted: Updated:
A man who allegedly robbed a video game store at gunpoint in December has been arrested.
Mahopac police say Anthony Pesiri pointed a gun at a clerk at the Video Games Plus store and demanded money. When the clerk refused, police say Pesiri struck the victim in the head with the gun before taking the register and fleeing.
The 43-year-old was eventually arrested after a traffic stop.
Police say he's also been linked to other robberies in the town of Carmel.
Persiri is charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
He remains in the Putnam County correctional facility on $100,000 bail.
