A Pennsylvania man is being charged with being high and causing a head-on crash in the Town of Southeast.

State police say Christopher Franz, 45, was driving his Jeep the wrong way Wednesday morning when he slammed into a pick-up truck on the Exit 19 off-ramp of the I-84.

The driver of the pickup, Moises Rios Castro, 46, of Carmel, and his child passenger were taken to Danbury Hospital for minor injuries.

Franz is facing charges including driving while impaired by drugs. He was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 bond.  He is due back in court on Jan. 14.
