Nyack man accused of attacking police

A Nyack man is faces charges after he allegedly threatened and attacked police officers.

Orangetown police say they were monitoring the crowd outside of Karma Lounge on Main Street yesterday when Shephard McClellan began yelling, cursing and making racial slurs at officers.

After being restrained, McClellan then lunged at one of the officers, resulting in a leg injury.

The 31-year-old was taken into custody and faces charges including assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
