WEST NYACK -

Police say a dispute between an employee and a customer at a Youbs Auto Sales in West Nyack Saturday afternoon led to a shooting.

Clarkstown police responded to a 911 call of a possible shooting at the location on Route 59 in West Nyack around 3 p.m. They found a 37-year-old victim with one gunshot wound to the torso and two to the arm.

Paramedics transported the victim to the Nyack Hospital Emergency Department to undergo surgery.

Authorities obtained surveillance video from surrounding businesses and released a description of the reported shooter.

Detective Pete Walker described the shooter as a black, heavy-set male in his 30s with a beard and glasses. Authorities believe he fled the scene in a vehicle.

Authorities do not yet know the condition of the victim.
