PLEASANTVILLE -

A Westchester public school teacher-turned-entrepreneur has made her first million by helping other educators.

After 23 years of teaching, Anna DeGilio left her job educating second-graders in the Briarcliff Manor School District to start her business, Simply Skilled Teaching.

DeGilio shows hundreds of thousands of educators nationally how to teach students through online guided lesson plans and resources.

DeGilio, has been featured in Forbes magazine for her success, and says her fortune came by following her dreams.

“There's no stopping what we can do in education,” said DeGilio. “I'm hoping I can make learning exciting for students in their classroom and help teachers in the process.”
