Kids are stumping their parents as part of a new texting game called the "25 pound turkey challenge," fooling their parents into thinking they are trying to microwave their turkey for Thanksgiving.
The responses have been pretty hilarious:
"DO NOT MICROWAVE! You need to put it in the oven and it has to be presented nicely! Lord! Didn't I teach you anything?"
"You can't. Your microwave probably isn't big enough. Research it on Google. Have you been drinking? This doesn't make any sense."
"Crank microwave to max power and cook for 30 minutes. When the timer goes off, grab your coat and keys and leave your house..leave town because nobody wants to be friends with someone who tried to microwave a turkey-- satan."
Butterball has also weighed in, saying, “"We started microwaving turkeys before hashtags even existed. The #25LBturkeychallenge is a little ambitious, but a 12-pound turkey is no challenge at all. Give us a call at 1-800-BUTTERBALL and we'll walk you through it step-by-step."
