Thornwood residents honored veterans with a parade for Veterans Day.

An emotional ceremony and parade was held Monday through the streets to pay tribute to fallen heroes and those still here.

The Thornwood parade has been going on since the 1950s, and veterans say it is nice to be appreciated for their sacrifices for the country.

They also say if you see a veteran today, to thank them for their service.
