The owner of a famed family attraction in West Milford that has been closed for more than a decade says they are still waiting on a certificate of occupancy for the Fables restaurant.
The restaurant at Fairy Tale Forest is now expected to open in the spring, and the park could open to the public by June.
Fairy Tale Forest first opened along Route 23 in 1957.
The attraction was known for its representations of classic stories such as Pinocchio, The 3 Little Pigs and Hansel and Gretel.
The park closed in 2005 after dwindling attendance.
The granddaughter of its founder has been working to restore the park.
